Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: South Fork crossing is a manageable rock hop with poles and spikes. Mad River crossing below Lower Greeley Pond would be a tricky low wade. I went slightly upstream and found a nice tree to walk across.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple annoying unders on Timber Camp Tr. It could also use a brushing and a blazing. A few blowdowns on the stretch of Greeley Pond Tr between Timber Camp Tr and the Kanc Ski Tr. All blowdowns should be manageable with a hand saw

Comments
Comments: Was thinking I might go summit the Osceolas for my December grid. Got to the junction with Mt Osceola Tr and was feeling very unmotivated to go summit so instead did some redlining. Went all the way to the junction with Goodrich Rock Tr and hit the Lower Pond spur and Timber Camp Tr. Lots of fun, tricky rock hops with high crossings and found one nice log bridge for the crossing of Mad River below the lower pond. Spikes are useful for the section north of this crossing and its possible to bareboot the section south of the crossing/pond spur. Timber Camp Tr is also nice for spikes. I brought my axe and crampons for the chimney and climb up the East peak but with the change to redline they just got a ride in my pack
