Did some redlining on XC skis today. Went out and back on Old Waterville Road trail from Smarts Brook parking. The beginning of the trail was very hard packed by people walking and not great skiing. As you get farther from the parking lot conditions improve. Once you get past the second junction with Pine Flats Trail only skiers and snowshoers had been through so the trail was very nice skiing. Plenty of snow to cover rocks. |
