| Comments: |
A extremely windy sunrise hike early this morning with snow showers and gnarly conditions. Track is well established with trace snow levels down low gradually increasing at upper levels. Snowshoes went on about 1000 feet onto the Carter Moriah Trail as there was heavy drifting and trail was a little tough to follow in a couple of spots. Clouds began to dissipate about a half hour after sunrise revealing some beautiful views. Snowshoes stayed on until the last lightly bridged crossing. Probably could've come off earlier but was able to make quick time with them on. I met 3 other hikers today. |
