Jewel,Crawford Path
You could tell that there had been lots of activity over the weekend. Jewell is well packed below tree line. We used spikes. Above tree line, both Jewell & Crawford Path varied from bony to soft pack to drifts. Snowshoes were best above tree line although spikes were doable but made for a slower, more tiring hike. There was more snow on this side of Washington than the Monroe side. |
