Comments
Comments: Nice redlining day with Chris C. to finish up the Moat area of the Carrigain tab. I needed all of the trails around the ledges which is why the trails description is so long. Recommend going up Bryce Path as its steep. We broke out all trails with 4-6" new powder on the trails around the ledges and became a foot of new powder near the top of Red Ridge. Original plan was to bushwhack over to Big Attitash from the south shoulder of North Moat and then go down Attitash Tr to Moat Tr and up Red Ridge Tr to the Link for that section of the loop. We called it after it took way to long breaking up Red Ridge and we topped out on the ridge after 2 and didn't want to do a bushwhack in the dark. Be careful for rocks down low as they are only partially covered by the snow. We took the section of FR 379 between the two junctions with Red Ridge Tr on the way down to make it more of a loop instead of an out and back. Trails are decently well broken out now.
