There are several water ice bulges along the way. I wore snowshoes to the hut, and down the Cog tracks, and Grivel G10s in between. I'd be extra, extra cautious with microspikes, especially if they are dull at all. Mostly avoidable, but then you'd be in a snowfield. Always good to practice with crampons before conditions absolutely mandate them.
