Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Only a couple on this trip and they were verey rock-hoppable.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple duck-unders and step overs on the Davis Path north of the intersection with Isolation Trail, and a little mud with sinking puncheons on the same between the Dry River Trail junction and the spur to Isolation. No real issues.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Didn't see any today. This is probably not a great trail for dogs. Not a lot of water at all, and lots of very rough rocks on Glen Boulder trail.
Bugs
Bugs: Virtually none. Saw a few at the lower elevations at the end of the hike, but otherwise, the 30mph wind kept them at bay!

Comments
Comments: A truly great day out. Winds were wicked at times, especially the section between Glen Boulder and the trees above it. Slow going when we can't get our feet to go where we want, but once we got past that point, it was very do-able. Lots of sun. Val enjoyed the views from Isolation for the first time although this was her fifth time there. Many thanks to the Davis Path Trail Adopter, whom we met today along the way. He's got the entire section from Glen Boulder trail to the Isolation Spur! That is quite a responsibility!
