Comments
Comments: A total mixed bag of trail conditions from some nice hard pack sections to some crunchy ice ranging in colors from blue to black to white to yellow and to ugly, disgusting frozen postholes and divots in the trail. Snowshoes are absolutely useless until the next major storm at which point please use them to properly pack down the trail. Spikes were sufficient but I hope that u bring sharp ones as there is some thick, downward sloping ice in spots. It was crusty enough that an argument for crampons could be made, but then I would probably trip over one of the stupid postholes. Be careful of any snow tomorrow obscuring the patches of ice on trail
