Comments
Comments: Crawford Path is in meh shape from the freeze/thaw cycle from yesterday. Mitzpah Cutoff is an absolute mess as it was broken out by barebooters with postholes and badly needs to another storm to get properly broken out. Webster Cliff Tr is in similar condition to the lower section of Crawford Path. The section between Mitzpah Cutoff and Webster Cliff Tr idk the conditions but the one guy I met on the summit of Eisenhower was able to do fine with spikes. Bring good spikes as there's some good crunchy icy on Pierce over to Eisenhower and over the summit loop. Put on the snowshoes about a 1/3 of a mile down Edmands Path but shoulda pulled the trigger on it at treeline as it was borderline solid. The waterfall section wasn't a problem and was fine with snowshoes. I kept them on to about 1/4 mile above the Abenaki Brook crossing where I put my spikes back on and wore to the end of Mt Clinton Road. The Road has a nice cover of hard packed snow that makes for perfect spikes conditions.

Please remember to break out trails with snowshoes!!! It really makes a difference in how the trail reacts to freeze/thaw cycles and personal mph on trail. It also sucks even worse to break out trails that have been broken out by Postholio and his friends/family.
