Comments
Comments: The road up to the trailhead is quite steep and icy, so I gave up and parked down on the side of Iron Mountain Road where a gate was and walked up, adding a bit over a mile one way. Two other cars, a pickup and a subaru were also parked there. One subaru made it almost up to the trailhead parking area and was parked in what looked like overflow parking a bit down the hill. I'm glad I did this hike today, because if I had waited much longer, I probably would have had to park all the way down where the road stopped being maintained.

Trail was well traveled and easy to follow. Max 2 inches of snow and I didn't even need to use my spikes, though you can never go wrong having them. There is this one section of snowdrift right at the trailhead itself where there are postholes 2-2.5 ft deep, but it lasts for less than 10 meters. It didn't look like anyone had been down the Mine Spur Path yet.
