| Comments: |
Temps just above freezing for almost all the hike. Bare booted to Bunnell Notch due to sticky snow. Spikes to the summit and back to the cabin. Some snow balling on spikes. Snowshoed half way back then switched back to spikes. With the coming rain and drop in temps, the trial should firm up well for a spike only hike by Tuesday. A few people overnighted at Unknown Pond and tracked Kilkenny Ridge past the Bulge and Horn. That trail looked good and somewhat consolidated, but snowshoes would be best for that. |
