Comments
Comments: if there hadn't been footprints to follow I would've turned around. so many trees and branches still covered with snow nearly obliterates the trail. I only saw a few blazes because of the snow on tree trunks. today's warm temps turned the snow into mashed potatoes and while snowshoes would've helped to keep the integrity of the trough...the balling up would've been a pain in the neck. I had spikes, but didn't use them for that very reason. it looked like the trail had been broken out by snowshoers, but, those that had come after did not. Not much foot traffic after the junction with the Link trail, it looked like only one set of snowshoe tracks and maybe a bare booter before me? Anyway, a nice day to be out even though I did get wet from the dropping snow bombs.
