Nice day to hike Owl's Head with a fellow Gridder. Minimal snow depth on Lincoln Woods Trail gradually increasing to 8 to 20 inches with 3ft drifts near the summit. Was able to bareboot to second crossing than micros until after 3rd crossing at which time snowshoes went on for the remainder of hike until returning back to Lincoln Woods Trail. Black Pond Bushwhack was tough to follow on the way in and got off track a few times. On the return we snowshoed the established bushwack without issue and brushed blocked out where we intially went wrong. Snow was covering previous pile. Lincoln Brook Trail and Brutus Bushwhack are now broken out. On Brutus we noticed some flagging which deviated from past BB track. Following this eventually ended up on Brutus and made a nice change.(Brutus 2.0)?.Breaking trail at upper elevations was tough and definitely took a team effort which made a great day for the 🦉. We met only 2 other hikers today. Trails very quiet.Highly recommend snowshoes for this hike.
