Comments
Comments: Great hike in the snow to Goodrich Rock. I had never hiked this short trail before and I highly recommend it. I found this trail in Steven Smith’s new Waterville Valley Guidebook picked up at the Mountain Wanderer Book and Maps in Lincoln. Glacial erratics were amazing including the “Old Old Wooden Ship”. Hannah carefully climbed the 20 foot wooden ladder to the top of Goodrich Rock. I stayed with Piper as this is not something a dog can climb.
At most a few inches of snow on Livermore Road but people were cross country skiing. Increasing amounts of snow as we ascended Goodrich Rock Trail but snowshoes not required. We used light traction to descend this trail to improve stability but not required.
