Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Lincoln Woods crossing doesn't have any visible rock hops (bridge between Osseo and Black Pond is blocked off). Lincoln Brook Trail crossing 1 was rock hoppable on a slightly submerged rock. Crossings 2 and 3 were challenging with high water and ice covered rocks and required getting boots wet.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One walk around blowdown near the start of the Black Pond Trail. Lots of unmitigated erosion.

Comments
Comments: Lincoln Woods Trail had a few mud patches, but was snow free. Black Pond Trail also had some muck and a dusting of snow.

North of Black Pond is a series of herd paths that weave around. It is time to establish a sustainable trail through here to reduce the environmental damage.

Lincoln Brook Trail had muck in the usual places and a dusting of snow.

It is also time to establish a sustainable trail up Brutus. The ascent from the drainage on the herd path is way too steep and some trees are dying from the exposed roots/erosion. On the descent, I bushwhacked a bit to avoid some of these steeps.

Owl's Head Path atop Brutus had a dusting of snow, never more than half an inch. Very little ice.

I barebooted roundtrip without issue. Only noted one other set of tracks, likely from yesterday. Cloudier than yesterday, but still relatively mild for December.
