Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The big puddle at the beginning of the trail was extra deep today and the by pass has horrible prickers! Otherwise nice logging road bridges.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The big wet area/puddle at the start of the trail needs are real bypass not just a blazed one. It is too steep and full of prickers. On logging road bridge crossing there are a couple of confusing Greenway Blazes that lead to no where off the bridge. Otherwise trail is well blazed and clear.

Comments
Comments: The hike up the Lincoln Trail to Baker's Ledge is about 2.2 miles. The Lincoln Trail starts out through an old log landing, through a short horrible wet mess and then a nice trail through a rocky boulder area/ conservation log-cut. The trail follows logging road up and up and cross logging road bridge and don't leave the logging road until you see very clear The Trail sign telling you to leave the road and enter nice woods on your left. At the view spur intersectdion there is a sign that points left as Lincoln trail continues right. Worth going a hundred feet out and back on Lincoln trail to a nice open ledgy area with nice view up to Kearsarge and to Pleasant Lake/New London. We then backtracked and went down the view spur. The ledge has one of the nicest ruggest flag poles to be found and a new flag flies proudly above the valley perched on the ledge. Nice mid day outing. (No frozen ground or ice yet)
