Comments
Comments: Below Bald Peak Mt. Kinsman Trail was just wet with occasional water or mud. Trace amounts of snow began just above the spur path with gradual minor ice and slick dustings of snow up to the ridge. Once onto Kinsman Ridge Trail there was more minor ice and wet snow - depth of maybe one inch. I put on a set of rock spikes at the FPA sign below the junction and left them on until I was maybe a half mile below it on my way out and did not regret it.

On the way up I noticed some low valley clouds through the trees so I made the short walk to Bald Peak to get a better look. Unfortunately those were the only distant views to be had today - up on the ridge visibility was nearly nil. Snow showers began mid-morning and transitioned to a light sleety mix then to a light wet snow...all of which stopped when I got back to the lot. However, along with the non-existent wind, it made for a very pleasant hike. I probably saw +/- 15 people during the entire trek and it was nice chatting with a few folks along the way.
