Comments
Comments: Started late with overcast skies, so hiked into some clouds with no views. Greeley ponds trail was wet but water crossings were easily hopped over and logs ensured the worst of the mud was avoided. Made it up almost all of Mount Osceola trail without traction, but there were a few icy rock scrambles in the last roughly half mile that would have been easier with microspikes and we eventually put them on in the last 0.1-0.2 miles to the summit. Kept spikes on for the descent until about 0.75 miles from the summit. Fog cleared as we descended but not in time for any views and we finished in the dark with headlamps on a humid and mild day for November. Overall a nice hike with an easy start, moderate-difficult ascent, and easy finish that helped work off some extra turkey helpings!
