Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Haystack Road was open and parked at Trailhead. Plenty of parking no vehicles on arrival or return. 
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Ice - Black, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet Trail, Ice - Blue, Wet/Slippery Rock, Ice - Breakable Crust, Snow - Unpacked Powder, Standing/Running Water on Trail

Recommended Equipment: Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Although I didn't cross- the Little River looked fairly low and crossable especially if using the herdpath to avoid the most difficult. Rocks were ice covered 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in great shape. The herdpath has a few duck unders and Firewardens trail has several birch stepovers as well a few blowdowns at upper elevations including one duck under just past the old barrels

Lost and Found: Bicycle has been at trailhead for quite sometime. 
 
Comments
Comments: A very winter like hike of Mt Hale. Micros on start to finish with just a trace of snow down low to up to 2 inches near the summit. Trees are well laden with snow and somewhat windy at the summit.
