Great day on Carrigan, with an attempted bushwhack down to Vose Spur. Very little snow, but lots of ice above ~2,500. Traction is definitely necessary.
I was hoping to bushwhack down to Vose Spur from the top of Carrigan and while there is a bit of a herd path in places, it is very hard to get through in most places, especially with a full winter pack. Also very steep in locations. After ~.5 mile of struggling, I bailed. |
