 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Goshen Tr.: park on dirt bumpout, on dirt road, just prior to rotting bridge (trail blazed blue but unsigned; trust your map.
Andrew Brook Tr.: parted at designated hiker lot; room for a dozen cars at most.
Rim Tr.: drove up crumbling road towards campground. Parked at roadside bumpouts just prior to gate. Walk past gate 0.15 to trailhead.
Newbury Tr.: Parking is along the main street (Rt 103), and the trailhead is a short walk. There is NO parking near the trailhead. This parking area is often full during the summer as it's by the Lake... we were fortunate this time of year to find plenty of parking. |

 | Comments: |
Goshen Trail is a woods road (logging & snomo) for it's entire route. Crappy logged area down low; more attractive woods up high.
Andrew Brook Trail was a running course of water and muddy for much of it's length.
Eagles Nest spur was unsigned, but obvious as there was a large cairn and the trail blazes changed colors.
Otherwise... all trails were fairly straightforward and typical :-)
Thanks to my husband, Steve, for setting me up for two separate traverses so I could redline. :-) |
