| Comments: |
It was a crisp morning and a great day to hike. It had rained the day before and the temperature was still hovering around freezing in the early morning, so some bridges driving to the trailhead were slick. I went up Wonalancet Range Trail and the beginning sections were quite leaf-covered; I lost the trail once when I didn't notice a trail split. There was some light snow that day, so light powdered snow in the morning made some roots and rocks slippery starting about 1 mile from the top. I had hiked 4 hours, summitted Mt Passaconaway and was coming down Dicey's Mill Trail before I encountered my first group. Saw a total of 10-15 people coming up Dicey's Mill Trail between 10:30am-12:30pm. |
