| Comments: |
Generally a dusting of snow top to bottom; slight enough that anything exposed to the sun this afternoon is probably gone. Some mud and running water on Bunnell Notch Trail. A few gotcha small patches of black ice on the back side of the ridge on Kilkenny, but traction would be overkill with current conditions. Never more than a dusting of snow. Ground is frozen somewhere around 3,500 feet in elevation.
Still a decent number of folks out hiking, despite it being shoulder season. Cloudy skies with the summit initially in the fog and some light snow/sleet, but blue sky was trying to break through around 1. |
