Comments
Comments: Mixed conditions typical of early fall. Small patches of snow here and there with only a half dozen small patches with snow over a few inches deep. Some slush and mud. No ice. Caps Ridge was dry with no snow as were the trails around Jefferson. Some patches of snow and slush on the north side of Clay. Washington was snow free. A few small patches of snow between Lakes of the clouds and Pierce. Mud increased around Pierce. Crawford Path down from Pierce was very muddy with lots of running water on the trail. Warm temps with little wind. Shorts weather. Never considered using the spikes we carried.
