Trail Maintenance Notes: Noted trail maintainer had done a significant amount of drainage work between Pemi Wilderness bridge and camp 16 - thank you! All trails in great shape. Twinway floating bog bridges have not been replaced yet

Lost and Found

Comments
Comments: Grid stuff on an absolute stunner of a day in the Whites. T shirt weather start to finish. Last weeks snow is for the most part gone, only minor patches in col between the summit and the old cabin on Fire Wardens, and minor snow/ice in the rocks in spots all along shaded areas through the traverse persist. Very light traffic, only saw less than 20 people from start to finish. Considering what this summer was like, that was usually the first 10 minutes of the hike! Found some old telegraph poles/wires along Fire Wardens, ran into a barred owl, a few forest chickens, and pine marten. Found (new to me) relics at camp 16, portions of an old stove and a trunk hinge. Wind was singing in the Bondcliff col, but otherwise a non factor. Surpringly hazy for this time of year, as well. Did spot the sleeping elephant (owls head from Bondcliff) though!
