I'm realizing with every new trek, why this mountain is so alluring. Just give yourself up and do it. I saw quite a few people doing their 48, in all stages of their lists, quite a few with their pups. Wow!
The understory is gone, so it's a bit less on the forest bathing aspect. But still quite nice. The solitude... oh wow, the solitude.
Happily, I met a couple NETC denizens today. (Hi guys! Drop me a note and let me know how your hikes went!) Several groups had at least one hiker who was on #47, which was exciting. Several others at some mid-point on their lists. Very fun to remember when I was at that point, too. Cool!
