Comments
Comments: Warm weather brought the people out. Most were not too chatty, and donned face masks - stopping on the side of trail in ways that still made passing difficult, or trampling fragile vegetation. A few small groups were spread out on Eisenhower and Pierce, the summit of Jackson was a mob scene.

Trail heading up Edmunds Path was very pleasant, with most wintery conditions taking place closer to 3800’. Typically slushy, some hard pack and a few solid ice flows. We donned micro spikes only once (to get up by the falls), otherwise we felt it was fine with caution. Eisenhower loop trail and Crawford Path were their usually charming selves, melted out and easy to navigate. The backside of Pierce to the closed Mizpah hut was also its usual, not so charming self. The rocks were fairly dry, though use caution on some of the ladders...those steps are getting even more rickety with the increased hiker traffic. Heading up to Jackson we saw the least amount of people all day, and quickly passed through the summit area. The trail between Webster and Jackson also had minimal traffic, and was in great shape by comparison. Webster had a surprising amount of people up top, so we stayed for a quick snack, and made our way down the Webster branch of the Webster-Jackson trail....where we saw NO ONE until Silver Cascades (which was easily passable).

Lots of lost articles on the rest of the Webster-Jackson trail, not surprising anymore. Covid masks and gaitors galore. If you choose to wear a mask on the trails, please keep track of it. It has been awful to see the plethora of them all left hanging on trees, sides of trails and parking areas. It still constitutes as littering.
