Comments
Comments: Bare leafy ground until 3000 feet then small patches of avoidable ice. 3800 feet to 4400 feet had continuous ice. I imagine that range will be slightly less after the warm temps today. There were a couple of knee-high drifts of soft snow out of treeline. The summit cone itself was bare ground. Needed spikes for the 1/2 mile or so before the South Peak spur coming up Glencliff and then for another 1/4 mile along Carriage Road - unless you like to fight for traction or don't mind swinging from tree to tree up that steep rocky part before the junction.
