| Comments: |
Nice day for Iso via Rocky Branch and Engine Hill 'whack. Bareboot on the ascent, rock spikes for the descent.. Gaiters all the way. The whack was relatively straightforward, I believe I closely tracked the 'official' (unofficial) route that crosses the top of the glades. Overall conditions for the day were pretty muddy and slushy with 4-6" untracked snow at elevation. 55° F at summit around 3pm making for an unusually warm late fall day. Saw three other hikers and lots of recent moose prints. |
