Hurricane Mt road is NOT gated. Apparently it was closed earlier in the week during a cold and icy spell. However, the road is again open to traffic.

Sunset hike to Black cap. Expected a road walk and to see just a few mountain bikers due to the road being gated. However, the road had been reopened. Still saw almost no one. Trail in good shape considering how much traffic it gets. |
