| Comments: |
Planned date for opening of skiing is November 27, after which uphill hiking/snowshoeing is explicitly prohibited. But right now, during shoulder conditions, the ski slopes provide an excellent alternative to the usual hiking trails. We used beater spikes most of the way up and all the way back down. Various routes are possible. Ours was roughly the work road, Grimlin, and Vista Way to the summit, then down Taft Slalom, Upper Ravine, Middle Ravine, and the work road to lodge. Outstanding views all around from the slopes. |
