it looked like the water bars had been recently cleaned. thank you! seeing widened trails and exposed tree roots higher up makes me sad. |

after my first hike of solitude on cherry mtn trail, I decided I needed to hike in a crowd. :). most of the folks, were on their way down as I was headed up, but there were still about a dozen of folks enjoying the sunny slabs on middle sugar. some spots of black ice that were carefully avoided. I had north sugar all to myself for as long as I was there and then only passed about a dozen people on my way down. didn't see many masks, but LOTS of costumed hikers on the sugars today. |
