Comments
Comments: Cherry Mtn Rd is in great shape. I was surprised to see campsites along the road. would be nice if you want a real quite spot. This was a fast and easy hike. Saw no one. a half inch of snow at the outset, closer to 2 inches higher up. Only went as far as the viewpoint because that's all I needed for redlining. followed a couple of footprints for the first 1.5 mile and then they turned around. I wondered if it was someone who had gone out the previous night for a walk in the full moonlight in the fresh snow. this would be a great trail for a full moon hike in winter with the wide open trail. more tracks higher up, but saw no one. I had spikes, but didn't need them.
