Comments
Comments: Like most early winter, late fall hikes, this presented a diverse array of terrain. For the first mile or so, the ground was frozen, but traction was good. As you got up Hi-Cannon, there were large patches of slick ice. I did not wear spikes coming up because there were lots of areas with exposed rock in between the ice. Coming down Lonesome lake trail was much snowier. I did put on my micro spikes for it and was happy to have had them. From Lonesome lake down, the trail was clear of ice and snow and traction was good.
