Comments
Comments: The bushwack went well and the hike was great until the first big water crossing on Lincoln Brook Trail. That was hard. There was a lot of mud. Early in the morning the mud was mostly frozen but we did break through and had wet feet for much of the day. The second water rossing was just as tough. Wet feet and cold hands ruled the day. As we hiked up the slide there was a little ice on rocks, but not too much. We didn't need our spikes at all. It was a winter wonderland above the slide. So beautiful. I'm getting more comfortable on this hike the more I do it. Today was a good day to be in the White Mountains albeit in the 20s and 30s most of the day. It's winter in White Mountains.
