Peak Above the Nubble
Bushwhack from Haystack Rd
The herd path is pretty well defined at the beginning and end of the bushwhack, but fades in and out in between. Highly recommend a GPS to point you in the right direction. There is no tape or other markings to help out.
Snow was light at the start but got deeper as the hike went on. Maybe 2-3 inches at the top. If you have boots with good traction you won't need crampons, but one more snowfall will likely change that.
Finally, don't forget to take a few steps to the left at the summit and look out to the Presis and north side of the Pemi loop. Absolutely amazing views on clear days! |
