Comments
Comments: Trails were covered in ice this morning at about 1/2 mile into the hike, we wore micro spikes and that gripped the ice covered rocks. 2 to 4 inches of fresh snow starting at 2800 feet, warmed up today so maybe some melting.Snow over breakable ice and mud made some parts of trail messy . Half covered snow on rocks slowed us down on rocks and roots.Summit was beautiful with a gray sky, fresh snow and ominous views made for a perfect pre-Halloween hike. It's winter at the summits,I used full winter gear today. We were the first ones on the summit and we saw 5 people after that, Thank you "chickety" for a great morning outside !
