It turned out to be a very nice day for these peaks after starting up East Osceola with light frozen drizzle and very spotty black ice forming on the steeps. There was just an extremely small amount of frozen precipitation on the ground. It was nice chatting with the Coast Guard guys practicing inland rescues on Osceola with a helicopter above waiting for skies to clear. The bushwhack to middle and west Osceola was a fun one for sure. The summit canister at Middle could use replacing as it broke in my hands as I tried to open. I packed out the broken one and replaced with a spare nalgene bottle. The skies cleared out nicely at the viewpoint ledge just before the West Peak.
