until today, i had never been on the upper carter ledge trail or the piper trail. i wanted to see the carter ledge and it did not disappoint. great views! i went up to and across middle sister with fine views again. i saw no other hikers till the other side of middle. the trip down piper had a great look up to chocorua and then the crowds arrived! i finished the loop by walking up rt 16. very nice hike though quite rugged in spots. |
