Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some serious work was done to the lower couple hundred feet of the Mt. Major Trail. Perhaps the first leg of a more extensive project, perhaps not, but it looks good and is sure to help with the erosion problems.

Comments
Comments: The trails were wet from the recent rain, which made for some slick walking at times, particularly on the open ledge sections, but overall it wasn't a problem with grippy boots. Relatively quiet in terms of hiker traffic- only saw 17 or so other hikers and had the summit to myself for a good chunk of time. The grey, cloudy sky also really brought out the remainder of the fall colors. Overall, one of the better hikes of Mt. Major I've done.
