There was a lot of running water on most of the trail this morning and there was no avoiding some mud. The first stream crossing had lots of water and required stepping on a slightly submerged log but was not a significant problem. The second stream crossing was easy. There was no real snow on the trail until the last 10th of a mile. Microspikes would have helped in one or two spots there but it wasn't worth putting them on for such a short section. |
