 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The minor crossings of Pine Bend Brook were pretty tricky rock hops. Heard of 2 people who attempted Sabbaday Brook Tr before bailing and going up Pine Bend Brook who said the main crossings were impassable. Checked out the crossing of the Ellis River for Winniwetta Falls Tr and it was raging, impassible. |

Pine Bend Brook Tr, Boulder Loop Tr, Pudding Pond Tr, Eagle Mtn Path
Attempted Sandwich Range traverse with Liam Cooney but my hardshell got soaked about 2.5mi up Pine Bend Brook Tr at 3000'. Traces of snow at wilderness boundary at 2100' and 3-4" at 3000'. Came back down and got some pieces for my redline down low in the notches. Timed boulder loop just right to have all the views to myself as it started to get busy while coming down. Pudding Pond was a nice flat stroll besides the stretch where i spaced out and decided to add another 0.5mi for fun. Eagle Mtn Path was a nice steady but short up and down with some nice wet leaves. Winniwetta Falls Tr crossing of the Ellis River was impassable lol. Definitely throw spikes into the pack going forward. |
