Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked across from Webster Jackson. Crawford Notch was packed with tourist vehicles lining both sides of 302.

Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow - Drifts, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow - Wet/Sticky, Mud - Significant, Snow - Spring Snow, Leaves - Significant/Slippery, Slush

Recommended Equipment: Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Crossing were a tad bit high, but not dangerously so 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One LARGE blowdown on Avalon above the A to Z split and below Avalon. Duck under right now, but as the snow piles up it will be in the way. 
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Brought one, saw lots of dogs... muddy, wet, snow rolling, in other words, a good time was had by all.

Lost and Found: There is a light traction device hanging on the Avalon trail sign at the junction with the Willey Range Trail. 
 
Comments
Comments: Lots of melting today, plenty of melting snow drops and snow bombs. I bare booted the entire loop - not really enough snow for spikes, and soft enough not to be really slippery. YMMV :)
