Comments: Nice day to finish the New Hampshire 100 Prominent Peak / List of John.

From our parking spot we dropped down heading south in nice woods, cross a stone wall, into an open meadow, back into nice woods, picked up and old skidder / logging / woods road and then bushwhacked to the col between the two peaks all at easy grade. At the col we set off to the west peak first. A bit steeper not bad, once on the log summit we hit a few bumps, had some peak-a-boo views to the south and soon hit the recognized high point of the West Peak.

We found a summit cairn, jar on the ground and a jar in the tree. We combined both jar registers into the one hanging on the tree and set off east back to the col.

Once at the col we continued east at easy grade, lots of signage regarding no hunting without permission. Soon enough hit the East Peak summit cairn and Jar. Our altimeter showed this peak as being higher. Didn’t seem it because the hike over is more a gradual incline. From this peak we walked a short distance south and had much better views to the south. From here we just beelined back to the jeep.
