|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||North Hancock, South Hancock, NH|
||Hancock Notch Trail, Cedar Brook Trail, Hancock Loop Trail|
|Date of Hike:
||Thursday, October 15, 2020|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||Water levels are definitely higher than they have been, but all crossings are easily rock hop-able. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||A couple of blow downs on the North branch on the Loop Trail, and one on the traverse between the summits |
|Lost and Found:
||One of the best sunrises I've seen (ever) from the view point on South Hancock this morning. Just spectacular.|
I encountered maybe 10+ people on my return trip, all before 8:30 a.m.
For whatever reason the erosion on the Hancock Loop Trail was very apparent, especially on the steep portions. The erosion trench is beginning to look like the Kinsman Ridge Trail on Cannon in places.
