Comments
Comments: Excellent hike up Lowes Path it was nice chatting briefly with the caretaker at closed Gray Knob. Winds were extremely high today and also heard thunder shortly after breaking treeline. There was light rime ice on summit of Mt Adams. Micros were not needed today but glad they are packed. After summiting Mt Madison I encountered two very friendly chipmunks at the Madison Hut as I ate my lunch. I ended up taking Airline Trail down to Rail Trail back to Lowes Path Trailhead.
