| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
not really a problem. Got to Gale River at around 10:30am on Sunday -- not swarming with people |

Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Leaves - Significant/Slippery |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
The water crossing 2 miles up Gale River was higher than normal on Sunday from the storm, but today it was fine. 13 Falls was flowing pretty good so the water crossings around Owls Head are likely high right now from the storm Sat night. |

This is a great route to 13 Falls campsite -- the goal of the trip. There is still a lot of color left on the lower portion of Gale River trail but higher up it's sporadic. Twin Brook is a lovely trail going down to 13 Falls. There are a couple of springs of water along the way down in case you need to top off. Its a nice mellow way down into the Pemi, with easy grades and terrain. 13 Falls was full but not overly crowded Sunday night. Super nice place to spend the weekend. |
