Parking/Access Road Notes: Only one other vehicle present when parking at Great Gulf Wilderness Parking lot Saturday 10/10

Surface Conditions: Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Small Patches

Water Crossing Notes: None. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some trails had puddles of standing water where mud was present. Some trail signage and cairns displaced from high winds and/or vandalism.  
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Less than a half dozen dogs seen on trail, most without leashes. All were friendly and accepting of pets. 
Bugs
Bugs: Moths and spiderwebs on Great Gulf Trail. Otherwise, none. 
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: One hunting orange snowcap lost to high winds along Osgood Trail due North of Osgood Junction. 
 
Comments
Comments: Wind, wind, and more wind. Only known reading was SW at appx. 61 mph. Navigating larger boulders on Madison and Adams were extremely difficult especially on] and exposed ridgelines. Skies were partly cloudy for most of the day. Snowmelt from recent accumulation on Wednesday.
