| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Arrived at 8:45a to find all 13 spots taken in the trailhead parking lot and 16 cars parked along the road. When I returned an additional dozen or so along the road. Pretty amazing for a weekday. Road in from Rt. 49 fine except for last couple miles which featured large pot holes in mixed gravel and asphalt sections. Took Tripoli Rd. out to interstate which was much easier. |

| Comments: |
Hit black ice at around 3500 feet on the Mt. Osceola trail requiring careful foot placement. Missed the turnoff for the bushwhack to Middle Osceola on the way up so tagged the summit first. Found the turnoff on the descent from the main peak and followed a herd path to Middle Osceola, signed register. The canister is off the main herd path about 70 feet. Lost the herd path on the return but navigated to find it again. Wore spikes down the Mt. Osceola trail which helped although much of the ice had melted. |
