Water Crossing Notes: None
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Practically the entire trail was a blanket of leaves. It made what would’ve been an easy descent a little treacherous, and obscured the trails. Acorns were rather annoying as well down below. Follow blazes carefully
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: All the dogs I saw were at the summit, and they went up the busier route. No water on eagle cliff, and you might have to use the bypass if your dog hates scrambling a bit

Comments
Comments: One of the purest autumn days you’ll experience. That comes with the leaf-related hazards, but there is still some fine foliage to look at below the whites. Highlight was the ledge at eagle cliff, which provides sweeping views of Squam lake and the sandwich range.

The initial climb is quite stiff, but beyond Eagle Ledge the trail becomes easy with good footing. Summit had a fair share of people; wore my mask while on the tower. It was chilly, but you get 360 views!

We took the Teedie trail on the way down. It’s definitely an easier route to go down (and also skips an extra climb), but you miss the outlooks and you’ll have to do a quick road walk.
